As their name might suggest, Thriveology Elevated Daycare & Clinical Services Inc., a start-up at NABI’s Mission incubator, is not just your regular run-of-the-mill daycare. After serving in the public-school sector, the highly educated and very experienced ladies, Lauren Allan, Natalie Wint and Nicole McDougall joined forces to form this start-up, which is a one-of-a-kind, customized approach to providing children and their families with a variety of occupational and speech focussed programming; in one convenient location. For the founders of Thriveology, this is their first-ever entrepreneurial journey, and their passion is evident as they work to provide individual, as well as Teletherapy sessions, at reasonable rates that accommodate those that need them the most.
These first-time entrepreneurs had all the odds against them when they founded their start-up in the midst of COVID-19 crises, however, they quickly learned the art of doing business and swiftly adapted to the changing winds and pivoted from group sessions to Individual and Teletherapy sessions. To gain momentum, they also created a strong on-line presence (https://thriveologydaycare.com/). Their ability to pivot and swiftly adapt to the challenging times is paying off. While many businesses are downsizing to survive, Thriveology is thriving! The business is planning to move to a larger space as early as Spring 2021.
When asked about their experience at NABI, the trio were quick to speak of the various ways that their relationship with NABI has been of tremendous value to them. Notably, the excellent communication from NABI staff, assistance with business and expansion planning, the month-to-month flexible lease terms, access to business services and programs, as well as shared facilities including meeting rooms and 24-hour access to their facility. The secret to success, you ask? “Passion about the services we provide” and “getting to work alongside friends, everyday!”
