Terri Ward (Owner/Therapist)
Terri Ward, owner of Iridescence Counselling, is a registered social worker with over 20 years of experience providing counselling for emotional wellness. She has experience working in schools, hospitals, community mental health clinics, primary care networks, and corporate roles. Terri says, “I love working with clients directly to provide support for clients as they achieve their personal emotional wellness goals.” Terri believes in building authentic relationships with her clients, which allows her to help them grow and evolve as she supports them.
Terri sees her clients as distinct individuals and has seen the benefit of having one-on-one support from a dedicated counsellor. This foundational idea is at the heart of everything she does. In fact, it was her passion for this one-on-one care that inspired Terri to start Iridescence Counselling. In part because of the supportive environment she’s found at NABI, Terri has recently expanded her practice to include other counsellors.
Terri is also making strides in developing her own unique programs. While she specializes in Schema Therapy (which draws on several psychological practices and theories to address personality disorders, additions, and depression and anxiety), Terri is also working on developing a collaborative therapy program that will even include yoga. She is also currently developing specific groups and putting together custom retreats.
While NABI plays a key role in where Terri practices, the office space is just one of the benefits that has helped her expand her practice. To truly realize her dreams, Terri has also been able to tap into the support that comes from being part of a team and being able to work alongside fellow entrepreneurs. For Terri, it’s important to lead with what you love to do, not focus on the financial gain. This passion, combined with a positive culture and workplace, makes maintaining a healthy life/work balance is much easier to achieve.
