Cornerstone Drafting: From Side Business to On-Site Business

Cornerstone Drafting started as many small businesses do—as a side business with a few loyal clients. As a trusted professional with excellent industry experience and customer service, founder Angelo Borelli soon found himself busy with many new clients, and in 2005, he officially incorporated the business. Since then, Cornerstone Drafting has continued to serve many clients from those early days, while also growing through word of mouth to take on new projects.    

In 2022, after two years of working from home, Angelo’s goals were to expand the business by hiring staff and finding a professional office space where he could host client meetings in a quiet setting. Not quite ready to commit to a permanent commercial space, he found that NABI Commons offered him the benefits of a professional space without a significant commitment or expense. “This is the perfect interim step for the business,” Angelo says.   

While seeking a long-term office space that will house Cornerstone Drafting, Angelo also continues to look for opportunities to grow where he is. He has enrolled in the Strategic Management Course led by Daryl Lesiuk, which has led to an overhaul of his sales and marketing processes. With these opportunities to grow the business, Angelo will be better placed to meet his goals of building and growing an in-house team.
