Jackie Van Fossen

CEO of EOS Bookkeeping

Go paperless and stop worrying about your business’ finances! Jackie Van Fossen of EOS Bookkeeping is glad to share her expertise. Stop in to Commons to ask Jackie how you can cut down on time spent on bookkeeping, and dig deeper than the numbers for business decision-making made easy.

With over 15 years of experience in bookkeeping and consulting, Jackie Van Fossen is a NABI Commons coach every entrepreneur will want to see. She started EOS Bookkeeping in 2013, and has worked with a variety of clients to help them manage their books, file GST, and prep for year end, among many other tasks. She’s also a consultant, offering internal training to her clients to help them manage their books in-house, without sacrificing the benefits of having a professional bookkeeper.

As an official Quickbooks Pro Advisor and member of the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada, Jackie is a fantastic resource for NABI clients and offers a wealth of information about how small business owners and entrepreneurs can set up and manage their books. Developing systems for a new business can be tricky, but there is a wealth of ways to make it much easier and ensure you are staying on top of your finances. Jackie isn’t only focused on recording though; equally important to her is being able to show clients exactly how they can use their books to track progress, make better business decisions, and stay on target for solid and continuous growth.

If you’re someone who hasn’t done your bookkeeping in a long time – or hasn’t even started – Commons should be your first stop on a Tuesday. Jackie often works with businesses who have left their bookkeeping for months (or even years) at a time. In these cases, she can seriously cut down on the time it takes to get caught up, and streamline the systems so backlogs don’t happen again.

Jackie can help NABI entrepreneurs with:

  • Getting set up in Quickbooks and finding the right program for their business
  • Learning how to use the features of Quickbooks to help make business decisions
  • Developing systems and timelines so you aren’t stressing about your books
  • Learning how to store receipts digitally to cut down on paperwork nightmares
  • Learning what a chart of accounts is and how you can use it to grow
  • Advice on obtaining and managing banking and accounts for your business
  • Resources for tracking expenses like mileage
  • How to collect money from clients
  • Learning what to do when credit cards bills become unbearable
Commons has been a great place for Jackie to exchange resources and information with NABI coaches and clients. The board room in Commons is a valuable space where financial information can be shared privately, perfect for keeping things confidential when she’s coaching.

Jackie is available to help with all your bookkeeping questions at NABI Commons on Tuesday afternoons from 1pm - 4pm. Be sure to drop in and see her!
